Our Story
I have always loved the outdoors. Some of my best memories include long days in the woods and creeks, wading in the water and having no other care but to be home for dinner.
Life gets complicated of course, and it wasn't too long before there were bills to pay, responsibilities, and a few more tasks to accomplish before the dinner bell rang.
After nearly 20 years in the military, multiple deployments, moves and the many stresses that we all experience along this journey of life...I decided it was time for a change.
I looked around and saw my fellow Soldiers struggling with depression, anxiety, and suicide. At the same time, I saw friends who had never served fighting the stressors that break us down along the way. I knew I wanted to make a difference, and for me it only made sense to go back to where I started.
I find sanctuary in God's creation, and I am not alone. While some may feel most at home in a coffee shop or an auto garage, I belong to the group of folks who recharge their batteries in the outdoors. So I sought out to connect with similar folks, through calls, helping them recharge and reminding them we all have a purpose.
From our very first Turkey Pot turned from a piece of Kansas Hedge, to every single call sold today, there is a purpose - connecting people to the outdoors, to one another, and to the greater calling in our lives.
At Chief's Custom Calls, we hope to make the call you want in your hands. Then we hope you go afield to build memories and skills that will see you through the tougher seasons that are bound to come.
Most importantly, we want you to regain that sense of peace that comes from the simplicity of creation and the unique purpose God has given you.
